Upward Facing Bow Pose

A beautiful variation of the Upward Facing Bow Pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana) executed by Instructor Carolyn at the 2019 Portuguese Yoga Retreat.

This tremendous backbend engages every muscle in the body. It opens the front of the body while giving the spine a maximum stretch. To lift into this pose requires good shoulder flexibility and once up, strength in the arms to hold you up.
